Razzaq, Yousuf bag PCB ‘A’ category central contracts, Aamir ignored

Razzaq, Yousuf bag PCB ‘A’ category central contracts, Aamir ignoredLahore, June 27 : The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has awarded mid-term central contracts to all rounder Abdul Razzaq and middle order batsman Mohammed Yousuf, both of whom had terminated their respective contracts with the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL) earlier.

While, Razzaq made a dream come back in the Pakistan team through his balanced all round performance in the ICC Twenty20 Championship, Yousuf still has to prove a point.

The PCB while giving the `A' category contracts to both the players which would make them richer by 300,000 rupees per month, ignored rookie pace sensation, 17 year old Mohammad Aamir, The Dawn reports.

The PCB's decision to offer Yousuf a central contract, when he had not played any domestic or international cricket for the last eight months, and sidelining Aamir, even after his stupendous show in the Twenty20 World Cup, has certainly raised questions over the board's criteria of giving central contacts to the players.

Experts believe that the board should have at least given a `C' category contract to the young fast bowler to boost his morale ahead of the important series against Sri Lanka. (ANI)
