Is it true that covering oneself with loads of SPF tainted cream can protect one from sun rays in hot, sunny weather? Or just for the sake of escaping from tanned skin.
The boffins at British Medical Journal (BMJ) claim that people tend to drag the matter and mix the case of protecting the skin over-excessively, forgetting the beneficial provided by the useful sunrays.
A study led by Professor Simon Pearce and Dr Time Cheetham states that people tend to avoid sunlight and in the process forget the needs of body that asks vitally for production of vitamin D. He further adds that sun-safety warnings cause bone problems – in extreme cases rickets and osteoporosis – depression and even weight gain.
In order to protect one from stinging rays, a factor of 20(spf) can suffice the job, if you’re in the sun for longer than an hour, especially when abroad. But at the same time health experts’ stress on the necessity of 20 minutes of exposure to produce Vitamin D, claiming of all health benefits adding to the strength of teeth and bones.
