Robinho reckons City now as a big force as Brazil, Real MadridLondon, Aug 6 : Manchester City striker Robinho has said that following numerous multi-million pound signings, the overall attitude of the Blues has undergone a massive change and they are now as big a force as the Brazilian football team and the Spanish football giants Real Madrid.

The 25 year-old, had earlier questioned City''''s ambition soon after his 32.5 million pounds transfer from Real Madrid to City on deadline day last summer.

“Manchester City are thinking big and if I''''m honest there is no difference between City and Real Madrid or the Brazilian national team,” The Sun quoted Robinho, as saying.

“Everybody at those three teams now believes they are winners - and half the battle is won in the mind. We are now thinking big and when you think big, greatness follows,” he added.

Robinho further insisted that Mark Hughes'''' City side can challenge for the title this season, following the inclusion of Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez, Gareth Barry and Joleon Lescott in multi-million pound deals.

“There have been some fantastic players signed for City this summer. But what is important for me is that there has been a big change in the club''''s thinking. When you act big you think big. We have proved we can take players from Arsenal and Manchester United and there are not many clubs in the world that can do that,” Robiho said.

The striker also highlighted that big names have a huge boosted confidence levels of the team, which was not there when he had arrived at Eastlands last summer

“When I transferred from Madrid last summer there was a different mentality from that of Madrid because City were not thinking like a big club. This team now has real balance to it and I believe we are ready to compete, not in a few seasons but now,” he added. (ANI)
