Samsung mulling launch of Galaxy Note 4 post Apple's big screen success

Samsung mulling launch of Galaxy Note 4 Washington, Sep 24 : Samsung is planning to hasten the launch of the new Galaxy Note 4 phablet, after the massive success of Apple's iPhone Plus.

A Samsung employee said the positive reaction from consumers to those two Apple devices prompted us to launch the Note 4 earlier than previously scheduled, The Mashable reported.

The Galaxy Note 4 was originally slated for release in October, but its Korean launch is planned to be pushed up to September 26 in response to the Apple sales surge.

However, Samsung is known for its larger-display phablets, a fact it recently used to poke fun at Apple in an ad mocking the heftier-than-usual iPhone 6 Plus.

The Note 4 would have a display of 5.7 inches which is bigger than the iPhone 6 Plus ' 5.5 inches.

On top of that, the Note 4 would have a Quad HD resolution and a fast-charging battery, the company says. It also runs on KitKat, Android's latest operating system, and a 2.7GHz quad-core processor. (ANI)
