Mumbai, June 24 : She has carried the Dream Girl tag for decades but now Hema Malini is ready to part with it and says she won't mind transferring it to Aishwarya Rai.
"Today, all the heroines are above the Dream Girl tag. Each girl is so beautiful. They have made their name in such a big way, specially Aishwarya. I think I will give this tag to her. But not for free. She would have to buy it from me," joked the
62-year-old actress.

New Delhi, Dec 17 : Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari Thursday accepted a petition by 75 members to impeach Karnataka High Court Chief Justice P. D. Dinakaran for alleged irregularities in land deals, official sources said.
"The chairman has accepted the petition. It will now be discussed in the house," the source said.
The 75 members, led by the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), submitted the petition to Hamid Ansari on Monday.(IANS)

Islamabad - A suspected US airstrike on a house in Pakistan's restive tribal region along the Afghan border on Thursday killed at least seven people and injured several, a security official said.
Two missiles fired from a drone aircraft hit a compound in Tappi Wall village located along the Tochi River in North Waziristan, a safe-haven for al-Qaeda and Taliban militants launching crossborder attacks on US-led international forces in Afghanistan.
"At least three among the killed are believed to be foreigners," said a security official who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Munich - As the bail-out of mortgage lender Hypo Real Estate (HRE) kicked into gear Wednesday, details emerged of its tussle with the German government.
Berlin was angry that HRE's complex corporate structure made it practically impossible for regulators to check up on HRE's true cash position during the crisis, officials said.
Meanwhile, a newspaper reported that HRE was preparing to sue German Finance Minister Peer Steinbrueck over remarks last week suggesting that HRE would be broken up.

Bogota - Clara Rojas, a former hostage held by leftist Colombian rebels, said the family of high profile hostage Ingrid Betancourt hid for two months evidence that Betancourt was alive.
In an interview published by the Colombian daily El Tiempo on Monday, Rojas - who was Betancourt's vice presidential candidate when the two were kidnapped by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) in February 2002 - said Betancourt's family hid the evidence to keep her in the media spotlight.

Barsana is about 50 kilometres from Mathura and it has the distinction of having the only temple dedicated to Lord Krishna's consort Radha.
Laddoo holi is celebrated because it is believed Lord Krishna came here from his native place (Nandgoan). Laddoos are distributed to mark coming of Lord Krishna to his in-laws home.
Legend has it that on this day Lord Krishna came to Barsana and playfully teased Radha and her friends but was chased away by the girls.

Washington, Mar 6: Routine intake of green tea can help promote healthy teeth and gums, according to a new study.
The study analyzed the periodontal health of 940 men, and found that those who regularly drank green tea had superior periodontal health than subjects that consumed less green tea.
"It has been long speculated that green tea possesses a host of health benefits," said study author Dr. Yoshihiro Shimazaki of Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan.

Mumbai, June 17 : A benchmark index for Indian equities markets Friday closed 133 points lower to stay below the 18,000-level, weighed down by selling in heavy weight scrips like RIL.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 18,060.17 points, closed at 17,870.53 points -- down 115.35 points or 0.64 percent from its previous close at 17,985.88 points.
At BSE, RIL closed 2.21 percent lower at Rs. 868.40.

London, Sept 2 : Most people believe that a cup of coffee in the morning helps them boost their mental performance all day.
But a new study by the University of East London has suggested that the stimulating effect of the coffee may be all in the mind.
The British researchers studied 88 volunteers aged between 18 and 47 who were self-confessed coffee lovers, downing at least two cups every day.
