A selection of photos to be projected onto sails of Sydney Opera House as part of its partnership with Samsung In a move which celebrates a 3-year multimillion dollar partnership between bigwig South Korean device-maker Samsung and Sydney's iconic Opera House, a selection of photos clicked by Australian photographers will be projected onto the Opera House sails between 6pm AEST and midnight on April 23; the day Samsung will launch its new Flagship handset - the Galaxy S4 - in Australia.

For having their photos projected on the sails of the Opera House, photographers have until April 18 to submit their entries.  The pictures submitted for consideration should be of the photographer or a friend in a "memorable moment" in Australia.

The entries submitted by the photographers should be a minimum of 1600x1200 pixels; and they can be either in portrait or in landscape orientation.  Some of the other terms and conditions for participation, and specifications for the photo entries, have been listed on the Samsung website.  In particular, the participants should check out Clause 12, which outlines photo use and moral rights.

Meanwhile, with the Opera House already having partnered with Google's YouTube video-sharing site to stream live performances, George Souris - Minister for tourism, major events and the arts - said that the partnership with Samsung will "take functionality of the Sydney Opera House to another level."

Souris further elaborated: "The introduction of Samsung's technological expertise to one of the world's most recognised and celebrated buildings will greatly enhance the visitor experience to the Sydney Opera House with the innovation of live sites."
