Sikandar, story of 14-year old Kashmiri boy!

Sikandar, story of 14-year old Kashmiri boy!Sikandar by director Piyush Jha is based on a strong theme, which has potential to strike every chord in human heart. But the screenplay has not been able to do full justice to the theme. The movie, based on the story of a 14-year-old schoolboy in Kashmir, holds your attention in parts but fails to leave impact on you as whole.

The movie can be praised for tackling an important issue of innocence of kids being robbed in name of religion and politics. The boy in movie is being pulled by many forces. People can get a taste of real beauty of Kashmir through the movie.

Parzaan quite convincingly plays the role of fourteen-year-old Sikandar. But Ayesha fails to put life into character of 14-year-old Nasreen. Madhavan has also done justice to his role of army captain. Sanjay Suri has given great performance as a Kashmiri leader. Arunoday Singh has gelled well into the role of a militant.

The fateful day, when Sikandar on his way home finds a gun lying on the path, changes his life entirely. Despite caution of his friend Nasreen, he picks the gun and puts it in his bag. Soon he finds himself in one problem after another.
