Wolfsburg, Germany - The sixth generation of the VW Golf Estate will be ready for delivery to European customers by September with a completely redesigned front, modified taillights, the latest engine line-up and a base price on the German market at 18,500 euros (25,700 dollars), the car maker has announced.
Standard on all models is ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), six airbags, daytime running lights, roof railing, power windows all around, upshift indicator, power and heated outside mirrors, 1/3 to 2/3 split folding rear bench seat and seatback, central locking with RF remote control, climate control and 1,495 litres of cargo capacity.
The Estate will be offered in the three equipment versions: Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. The latter replaces the previous Sportline version. Available engines are a TSI with 90 kW / 122 hp and two common rail turbo-diesels (77 kW / 105 PS and 103 kW / 140 PS). Other engines will follow in stages, according to VW. (dpa)
