Spice releases 12 megapixel phone for Rs. 14,500

s-1200Spice Mobiles, an Indian manufacturer of low and mid-end handsets has released its 12-megapixel camera phone, the S-1200.

It is creating ripples in the matket, not only because of the camera but also because of the price. It is priced at Rs. 14,500.

It comes with a 3x optical zoom, a feature no where to be found at this range in 12-megapixel camera phones.

Spice S-1200 continues to amaze its users with its innumerable features such as a 2.4-inch QVGA displaying 262K colors, CCD Sensor, multiple face detection, and features like Smile Shutter, anti-shake and Xenon flash.

The phone also supports memory extension up to 32 GB with micro-SD cards. These can be upgraded from the available 70 MB internal memory.

The TV Out cable which comes with the phone, enables a user to utilize the TV functionality in order to view all the photos and videos on a television set.

It also supports a 24 Preset Capture Modes including Text Capture Mode and supports Bluetooth with A2DP and a mini-USB port.

However, this camera-centric phone faces ground in two of the most crucial features which are- lack of WiFi and no support for 3G networks.
