Paris, June 5 : Claycourt maestro Rafael Nadal has said that if he is not at his best, it will be almost impossible to win over Sweden's Robin Soderling, who stands between him and another French Open trophy.
Soderling is the only player to beat Nadal at Roland Garros, inflicting a shock fourth-round defeat last year.
Nadal, who is chasing a fifth French title in six years and a return to No. 1 when the fresh rankings are issued on Sunday, said: "I just try to play my best tennis. That's what I have to do."
"If it's not like this, it will be almost impossible to win over Robin, because he's playing amazing level. He's very aggressive and it's very difficult to stop him," The Courier Mail quoted Nadal, as saying.
"He did very good tournament, and today he came back to win a very good match. So he''s very, very dangerous player, no? He''s one of the best of the world. And, yeah, sure is gonna be a really difficult match," he added.
If triumphant against Soderling, Nadal will become only the second man to win five French crowns. (ANI)
