London, Dec 4 : Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has criticized his players for lacking the “desire to win”, and said that they have to beat Everton on Saturday.
Chelsea has three defeats and a draw in five league games. Ancelotti said “everything was wrong”.
Ancelotti, whose own long-term future remains in doubt, confirmed that Michael Essien and John Terry will return, with the manager also revealing that the latter will have to change the way he trains for the rest of his career to nurse his damaged back, The Telegraph reports.
“I think he has to do individual work to protect his back,” Ancelotti said.
He explained that the muscle, which had been causing Terry sciatica, had been released and the defender was now pain-free, although he will have to continue with a specially tailored exercise regime.
Even though Terry is not completely fit, Ancelotti said his return was crucial.
Ancelotti admitted that he has also been selecting striker Didier Drogba, who is also not fully fit after contracting malaria, because of his “character”. (ANI)
