Aquilani, Gattuso to miss Milan derby

Rome, Jan 14 - Italian Serie A side AC Milan has announced that midfielder Alberto Aquilani will miss Sunday's Milan derby against Inter due to an ankle injury.
The 27-year-old Italian international had already missed last weekend's win at Atalanta after hurting his left ankle in training. Aquilani will be sidelined for about a month, Xinhua reported.
Meanwhile, defensive midfielder Gennaro Gattuso will also miss the derby as he has suffered a setback on his road to recovery from a career-threatening eye condition.
The 33-year-old injured his eye following a collision with teammate Alessandro Nesta in September and further tests have revealed a muscle weakness that will keep him out of action indefinitely. (IANS)
