London, Aug 15: Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has revealed that midfielder Cesc Fabregas will finally seal his dream return to Barcelona after a medical today.
According to the Sun, a fee believed to be 35.9 million pounds plus add-ons has been agreed, while Fabregas is expected to pay Arsenal 4.5 million pounds out of his own pocket over the next five years.
"We have been clear we didn't want Cesc to leave and that remains the case. However, we understand Cesc's desire to move to his home-town club and have now accepted an offer from Barcelona," Wenger said.
"We thank Cesc for his contribution at Arsenal and wish him future success," he added.
Fabregas scored 57 goals in 303 appearances for Arsenal.
He had started his career as a trainee with Barcelona, but was signed by Arsenal in September 2003 at the age of 16. (ANI)
