London, Apr 27 : Arsenal is ready to sell skipper Cesc Fabregas for 35 million pounds and boss Arsene Wenger is unlikely to stand in the Spaniard's way after persuading him not to leave the club last season.
Arsenal insiders are convinced this will be Fabregas' last season at the club despite having four years of his 120,000 pounds-a-week contract to run.
The Spain international is disillusioned with Arsenal's failure to win a trophy since 2005, The Sun reports.
Wenger knows it will be impossible to convince the ambitious Fabregas to prolong his stay at Arsenal, as the skipper was disappointed when Arsenal refused a 29 million pound offer from Barcelona last summer.
A club insider said: "There is a feeling Cesc has gone as far as he can with Arsenal. He has been with us eight years and believes he has shown great loyalty. The team will finish the season empty-handed again and he fears that situation will not change."
Wenger's 35 million pounds price tag could destroy Fabregas' dream of moving to Barcelona. He was secured for 500,000 pounds from the Barcelona youth academy in 2003. (ANI)
