Johannesburg, Feb 13 : Australian Twenty20 specialist Dirk Nannes has praised South African cricket, and said it was the perfect place to play hard cricket. "It's a good place to be in terms of good, hard cricket," Sports24 quoted Nannes, as saying. He will play together with Pakistan's Sohail Tanvir as the two out of the country professionals in the Lions' squad for this season's domestic T20 competition, which starts on Wednesday.
"I like a challenge and playing in a good quality domestic tournament is sometimes more difficult than international cricket, so I expect nothing less than good hard cricket," he said. Nannes was awed with the big name international players.
"Having a guy like Chris Gayle, who dominates competitions around the world, is a good challenge for domestic players," he said. "They would not normally get the opportunity to bowl to players of his caliber and it's also great for the fans to watch," he added. (ANI)
