Ball for Euro final shown to public

UEFA CupVienna - The ball to be used at the Euro final, which will be co-hosted by Switzerland and Austria in June, was shown to the public for the first time in Vienna on Wednesday by the president of Europe's governing body UEFA, Michel Platini.

Like the Europass ball, which will be used during the Euro championships, the Europass Gloria ball is produced by adidas and has the same design.

The balls differs in colour though, as the ball which will be used for the final has black dots surrounded by a red circle, depicting the Henri-Delaunay trophy, as well as scenes from previous Euro champions.

Also on Wednesday, adidas announced that the 2008 Euro winner will be allowed to play their games with the Europass Gloria ball till the next Euro finals in 2012 in Poland and Ukraine, Austrian media reported. (dpa)
