Benitez expects Gerrard to fire soon

Benitez expects Gerrard to fire soonLondon, Jan. 26 : Liverpool coach Rafa Benitez is expecting Steven Gerrard to shake off his troublesome groin and hamstring injuries and fire for the club in the remaining matches of the
2009-10 football season.

Benitez declared: "I don''t have any doubt about Gerrard''s commitment - nobody has. He can play better or worse, but he will always try. And we don''t have any problem in terms of his level. He knows he has to improve and wants to do it and some full weeks'' training will make things better.”

"If you are injured and have to start again, and injured and have to start again, then it''s difficult for any player, be it Gerrard, Torres, Benayoun or whoever. Consistency of form is something you can only find when you train every week, and have positive training sessions in a row,” he added. (ANI)
