Benzema fined for driving dangerously in his Porsche 911 in IbizaLondon, Jun 17 : Real Madrid star Karim Benzema has been fined for racing his Porsche 911 in a busy street against a Ferrari and a Lamborghini in the Spanish holiday island of Ibiza.

Benzema handed over 250 Euros (220 pounds) in cash before driving off.

Police said he was fined for racing his Porsche through the streets of the holiday town, The Daily Mail reports

Witnesses said the three cars were racing through the centre of the town on Wednesday morning.

The footballer’s high-powered blue Porsche 911, which has a top speed of 197mph and does 0 to 62mph in 3.9 seconds, was also seen performing handbrake turns and other dangerous manoeuvres.

Three police patrol cars stopped the street race against the red Ferrari and yellow Lamborghini at around 1.15am.

None of the drivers were breath tested as they showed no signs of having drunk alcohol, a police spokesman said.

The spokesman said: “We can confirm Karim Benzema was fined 250 Euros in the early hours of Wednesday for dangerous driving in Ibiza Town. He was not breathalysed as he showed no sign of having consumed alcohol.”
