New Delhi, Oct 19 - Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra Wednesday won the silver in the men's 10m Air Rifle event at the Asian Airgun Championship in Kuwait.
According to information received here, Abhinav shot a qualification score of 594 with 98, 99, 99, 99, 100 and 99 and then followed it up with a 103.6 in the finals to claim the silver.
Another Indian, Satyendra Singh, won the bronze with a score of 696.7 (593+103.7) while Gagan Narang finished seventh.
Gagan had a very shaky start today with a 96 but regained after shooting 99, 98, 100, 100 and 99. In the finals Narang shot 102.5 to register a total score of 694.5.
The gold went to world record holder Zhu Qinan of China with a score of 700.2 (598+102.2). (IANS)
