Stuttgart - The BMW Sauber Formula One team is retaining drivers Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld for the 2009 season, the team said Monday.
Austrian Christian Klien will remain the team's test and reserve driver.
The decision ends all speculation over the future of German driver Heidfeld, who lies fifth in the current drivers' championship, behind Polish team-mate Kubica who is third.
The team said in a statement it had "opted for continuity" for next season.
"We see Nick and Robert as a strong driver pairing and Christian as an experienced test driver," BMW motorsport director Mario Theissen said.
"We are in no doubt that we will again achieve our ambitious aims with them in the team's fourth year." (dpa)
