New Delhi, Feb 14 : Brazilian ace striker Ronaldo has announced that he is prepared to end his career as a soccer player, as he was unable to execute plays like he used to and claimed to be tired.
However, the World Cup winning striker said that he had a great run and a fantastic career.
Ronaldo is expected to make his official declaration regarding his retirement on February 14, Xinhua reports.
Rumors had quickly spread that the star striker was considering retirement after his friend and teammate Roberto Carlos left Corinthians due to security concerns.
After Corinthians was eliminated from the preliminary round of the 2011 Libertadores Cup, fans became irate and violent, making death threats and damaging property.
Such behavior caused Roberto Carlos to leave and has left a bitter impression on Ronaldo. (ANI)
