Rio De Janeiro , Dec. 25 : Brazilian striker Adriano accidentally shot a 20-year old woman with his bodyguard’s gun in Barra da Tijuca district of Rio de Janeiro. This incident transpired when Adriano came out of a party with three women. Police Lieutenant Tomas da Silva told CBN radio that Adriano was toying around with his bodyguard’s gun when he accidentally pressed the trigger, which hit and injured one of the women accompanying him. Fox Sports quoted the police officer as revealing that Adriano didn’t turn himself in to the police and added that the injured woman required surgery on her hand. Adriano who is currently playing with Brazilian champions Corinthians has seen his career suffer in recent years due to problems related to weight, alcohol and depression. He had a successful stint with Italian football club, Inter Milan where he had won four Serie A titles. Last year also he was on the verge of being arrested, but escaped as Rio De Janeiro police didn’t have enough evidence against him in a case related to drug trafficking. (ANI)
