London, Feb 1 : England manager Fabio Capello is expected to act tough against skipper John Terry after it was revealed that his secret lover had an abortion.
Devout Italian Roman Catholic Capello, who is already reeling from his captain''s fling with model Vanessa Perroncel, is an outspoken anti-abortionist.
Earlier in 2007, Capello had told an Italian magazine that he supported conservative Pope Benedict XVI, and opposed Italy''s laws allowing termination of birth.
“I''m very Catholic and I am not all in favour of the current law on abortion. I like the Pope, the Church needs a traditionalist turn. I am someone who prays twice a day, in the morning and evening, wherever I find myself,” The Sun quoted Capello, as having said after the meet.
According to reports, Terry must come clean on his explosive sex scandal to save himself from being stripped of the England captaincy, and if he misleads Capello over his affair, his position as captain could become untenable.
Capello will have meetings with influential Football Association board members to discuss the controversy, but chief executive Ian Watmore accepts that the ultimate decision rests with the Italian.
He will return to England on Thursday for discussions with Baldini over Terry''s future role with the national team. (ANI)
