London, Dec 12 - Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has submitted a written transfer request, Sunday's News of the World reported.
Tevez, who joined the club from Manchester United at the beginning of the last season, has been in fine form this year, but it has been widely known he is unhappy. It was not immediately clear where he was headed.
His daughters still live in Buenos Aires and he has spoken often of being homesick and of wanting to quit football altogether.
Tevez's deteriorating relationship with manager Roberto Mancini is also thought to be a factor. (IANS)
