London, Feb 10: Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech reckons that his blunder against Liverpool during Sunday's Premier League clash could have ended the defending champions' title hopes.
Cech was in no-man's-land when Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles netted the game's only goal, and was blamed afterwards by Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti.
"It was my mistake. The coach couldn't have said anything else. Mistakes are a part of football and you have to learn to live with them. I have now made my first of the season," the Sun quoted Cech, as saying.
"United stumbled and so did Arsenal. We had a chance to reduce the deficit again and it's a pity we couldn't take it. It will still bother me for a while yet, but these things happen," he added.
The defending champions are currently 10 points behind points' table leaders Manchester United. (ANI)
