London, Feb 5 : Chelsea's wage bill has hit a mind-blowing 172 million pounds and that does not even include the salaries of new signings Fernando Torres and David Luiz.
The annual total is almost 20 million pounds more than the previous year and dwarfs Manchester City's payout by 39 million pounds.
The astonishing figure was revealed in Chelsea's full annual accounts for 2010," The Sun reports.
City spent 133 million pounds in the same period, one million pounds more than their rivals Manchester United.
Arsenal was in fourth place with a 110 million pounds bill.
Chelsea also reported losses of 70.9 million pounds compared to just 44.4 million pounds the year before. (ANI)
