Ace Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo is a favourite to retain the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Player of the Year crown that he won last year.
The Manchester United star has enjoyed another outstanding season and is nominated for both players' player and young player of the year by the PFA.
The other nominees are Liverpool's Spanish striker Fernando Torres, Arsenal's Cesc Fábregas and Emmanuel Adebayor, Portsmouth's renascent England goalkeeper David James and Liverpool's Steven Gerrard.
Ronaldo (23), who also won the young players' award last year, has netted 37 goals in all competitions this season.
Torres, playing for Liverpool, has scored 29 and Adebayor 25 goals this season, The Mirror reported.
Torres and Fabregas are also in contention for the young player of the year along with Aston Villa duo Gabriel Agbonlahor and Ashley Young and Manchester City's Micah Richards. (ANI)
