London, Aug 1 : Cristiano Ronaldo and his Manchester United team-mate Luis Anderson may be sweating over a security scare involving their multi-million pound mansions, after their house keys were stolen.
Thieves first targeted the home of a cleaner who is contracted to both properties, making off with the keys to Ronaldo and Anderson''s houses in Alderley Edge.
The keys were inside the cleaner''s handbag and were later found abandoned nearby by police officers.
Ronaldo and Anderson are both out of the country but police called to the scene in Ashton-under-Lyne, near Manchester, alerted bosses at Old Trafford, who beefed up security at the two homes.
"There is no evidence this was a targeted break-in, but you simply don''t know," the Mirror quoted a source, as saying.
Police said: "Inquiries are ongoing." (ANI)
