London, July 25 :Cristiano Ronaldo is very keen to join Real Madrid, says his pal Portuguese and Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told one of his closest pals that he wants to join the Spanish football club Real Madrid.

Portugal and Real centre-half Pepe says Ronaldo is pining for a move to the Bernabeu.

The Sun quoted Pepe as saying: “It’s normal he wants to come. If he comes to Madrid he’ll be welcomed by everyone.

“He has said many times that he likes Madrid. He knows the great history of Madrid and the club that it is,” Pepe added.

Pepe is believed to have talked about Real with Ronaldo throughout Euro 2008.

Real Madrid President Calderon said: “We are just spectators. It is the player and the club who are talking about the problem. They have to talk and we are waiting.” (ANI)
