London, Feb 26: WBA world heavyweight champion David Haye's long-awaited world heavyweight championship unification bout with Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko may be held on July 2.
Haye used his social networking Twitter profile to suggest, twice, that there are talks close to completion, the Telegraph reports.
"Does some well overdue Klit licking potentially being on the horizon be something you may be interested in.... ???" That followed an earlier message: "Things them are brewing......."
Haye was due to defend his crown against mandatory challenger Ruslan Chagaev on May 21, but rows over Chagaev's fitness have derailed those plans.
Klitschko also has his rescheduled defence against London-based Dereck Chisora in Germany on April 30.
All the interested parties - Team Haye, the German promoters of the Klitschkos and Sky television - are now believed to be in talks to put on one of the biggest fights in British history. (ANI)
