Divorce from Nordegren made playing golf ''a lot more difficult’: Woods

Tiger WoodsNew York, Aug. 26 : Humbled star golfer Tiger Woods has candidly admitted that his divorce from his wife Elin Nordegren has made playing the sport a lot more difficult, and added that so far, he has not let on how difficult it has been.

Responding to Nordegren’s spilling of her guts in a People Magazine interview, Woods said the divorce was a sad event for both of them, but they had decided to move on.

"It (playing golf) was a lot more difficult than I was letting on," the New York Daily News quoted Woods, as saying.

Woods, 34, said he hasn''t thought about taking a break from the game.

"We''ve been going through this the entire year. This is my job. This is what I do," he said.

Woods is No. 1 in the world rankings but No. 112 on the FedEx Cup points list.

Woods needs to finish between 50th and 57th place to move into the Top 100 and advance to next week''s tournament, the Deutsche Bank Championship in Boston.

Woods said he has been working with swing coach Sean Foley twice, but is not yet ready to bring him on full time.

He also said that he would not call this season a lost season, even though he has yet to win.

Attempting to rationalize his position, he said: "Every year you have to find the positives. Even though there are a lot of negatives, I think that''s actually a good thing. I learned a lot about myself and how I could become a better person." (ANI)
