London, Dec 10 : Tears rolled down Thierry Henry's eyes after seeing the magnificent bronze image of himself in a iconic, almost messianic pose.
He glanced over towards his beaming family and fans, and then, had to avert his gaze as the tears began to well.
The last time Henry had felt this sort of emotion, he swore, was the day that he left Arsenal, The Sun reports.
Henry said: "I want to thank Arsenal from the bottom of my heart," he said, voice choking. "I've said and I'll always say, `Once a Gooner, always a Gooner'!"
The statue, one of three unveiled outside the Emirates Stadium to honour three of Arsenal's most influential figures - Henry, Tony Adams and Herbert Chapman - as part of the club's 125th anniversary celebrations. (ANI)
