Everton Saha would “love it” if Man U wins Premier League crown

Louis SahaLondon, Feb. 12 : Everton forward Louis Saha “would love it” if his twin goals which sank Chelsea on Wednesday help Manchester United win the Premier League crown.

Although the French hitman is now a true Blue, he would be delighted if his midweek brace helps the club where he spent four years.

“I''d love to say Everton could win it, but that''s not going to happen. Chelsea are very strong, but I think United are better - and I would be delighted if they won it. I''d prefer that,” The Sun quoted him, as saying.

“I still keep in touch with a lot of them from United, especially Patrice Evra. And Wayne Rooney and Owen Hargreaves are on the phone a lot. They''ve got a really good bunch of guys. I know I will be getting a lot of calls now, and it is a big boost for United,” he added.

Saha''s delight meant more despair for Chelsea skipper John Terry.

The former England captain was badly at fault for both goals, letting Saha drift across him for the opener and totally missing Sylvain Distin''s downfield punt 15 minutes from time.

"I know what people are saying but they have got to realise what a great ball it was. You make the runs and know they''re going to pick you out, so I wasn''t surprised when it came to me,” Saha said.

“As well as Sylvain, we''ve got Leighton Baines, John Heitinga and Phil Neville who can all hit passes like that. We should get some praise for showing great character to come back from losing to Liverpool,” he added. (ANI)
