Beijing - Rumyana Neykova on Saturday won a first gold medal for Bulgaria at the Beijing Olympics when she took the women's rowing single sculls title.
Neikova had already won silver in 2000 and a bronze in 2004, to take her medal tally to three.
The silver medal went to American Michelle Guerette, while Belarussian Ekaterina Karsten won her fourth medal in the event, taking bronze.
She previously won gold in 1996 and 2000 and took the silver in 2004. dpa
