Paris, Jan 28 - Brazilian defender Alex joined French Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on a two-and-half years' contract, the club confirmed.
The Ligue 1 leaders had been tracking the 29-year-old Brazilian since he was placed on the transfer window last month and have snapped him up for 4 million pounds.
"He has lot of experience as he played in many championships and also in the Champions League and national team," manager Carlo Ancelotti was quoted as saying by XInhua.
"Physically, he is very strong. He is a very professional player and I think he will bring much to the group," he added.
Ancelloti had earlier coached the Brazilian in his previous stint at English club Chelsea. Alex became the second new face that joined the French team after former Barcelona defender Maxwell. (IANS)
