London, Dec 4 : Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed his team's rivalry with Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga is unparalleled, and added he hasn't seen a fiercer competition between any two teams in the last ten years.
"I don't recall any rivalry like it in the past ten years. And that's good for football, good for the fans. They're enjoying something unique," Ronaldo said in an interview with the Gulf News.
"I listen to players who played years ago and they say that it's even harder these days. That's why this is the best league in the world - because the best [two] teams are here and the best players too," he added.
Ronaldo added this season also Madrid would be fighting it out with the Catalan giants for the La Liga title despite their below expected start to the season.
"Yes, I'm sure of it. I don't want to dismiss the other teams, but I think that it will be my team and Barcelona competing again," the former Manchester United man said. (ANI)
