Henry offered two-month contract by Arsenal

Henry offered two-month contract by ArsenalLondon, Dec 29 - English Premier League side Arsenal have offered Frenchman Thierry Henry a two-month contract to return to the club he left in 2007.

Arsene Wenger had been mulling over whether to take back the club's all-time leading goalscorer to boost his side's chances of finishing in the top four, The Daily Mail reported.

With out-of-form Moroccan Marouane Chamakh and Ivory Coast's Gervinho being called up for national duties in the African Cup Nations, the Arsenal front-line suddenly looks very thin.

Henry after a eight-year stint with the London club left to play in Spain with Barcelona. However, after being subjected to the bench for majority of his stay he moved to the Major League Soccer (MLS) and joined the New York Red Bulls in 2010.

If the Frenchman does decide to take up the offer, he could feature in seven Premier League games as well as FA Cup ties and the first leg of Arsenal's crucial Champions League last-16 clash against AC Milan. (IANS)
