Lugano, Switzerland - Striker star Zlatan Ibrahimovic may not be fit to play a full match in Sweden's Euro 2008 opener against holders Greece, coach Lars Lagerback said on Saturday.
"It is difficult to say whether he is fit to play 90 minutes. But he is making good progress," said Lagerback after a training session.
The Inter Milan player Ibrahimovic is not yet fully fit after a knee injury. He did not train on Saturday but working out in a gym.
Sweden meet Greece on Tuesday, with Russia and Spain the other group D opponents at the tournament which kicked off on Saturday.
Lagerback dismissed Ibrahimovic's call to field newcomers Sebastian Larsson and Fredrik Stoor, saying they had to fight for a place on the team like anyone else and that the starting lineup "is the only issue we don't discuss with the players." (dpa)
