I'm satisfied with CWG arrangements: Gill

ms gillNew Delhi, Sep 29 : Sports Minister M. S. Gill Wednesday said all arrangements for the Commonwealth Games are in place and he is "personally satisfied" with them.

Gill along with Organising Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi inspected the Commonwealth Games Village in east Delhi and stayed in the campus for about two hours talking with various teams.

"I have spent almost two hours in the Village and spoken to teams from at least 13 countries. Honestly, all of them said they are feeling very comfortable and are glad to be here," Gill told reporters after the visit.

Both Gill and Kalmadi ate at the dining hall in the Games Village.

"I am personally satisfied with the arrangements and situation at the Games Village and other Games venues," he said.

The Games will be held from Oct 3-14 and 7,000 athletes and officials from 71 teams are expected to participate.(IANS)
