Injured Torres replaced by Krkic in Spain squad

Madrid - Spain manager Vicente del Bosque announced, as expected, that Bojan Krkic would replace Fernando Torres in the squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Bosnia and Armenia.
Torres - scorer of the winning goal in the Euro 2008 final against Germany - will be out of action for two to three weeks after suffering a hamstring tear in his right leg in Liverpool's 0-0 draw against Aston Villa.
Barcelona starlet Krkic, 18 last week, has still to make his full Spain debut.
He turned down the chance to be part of the Spain squad at Euro 2008, claiming he was exhausted after a tiring first season for Barca. (dpa)
