Milan - Italian football clubs Juventus and Fiorentina are set to bolster their attack as they gear up for the next European Champions League campaign.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Brazilian Amauri was expected in Turin later Monday to sign with Juventus, putting an end to a marathon of negotiation with Palermo.
The Sicily club appears to have agreed on selling the 27-year-old for 12 million euros (18 million dollars), plus the transfer from Juve of midfielder Antonio Nocerino and a joint-ownership of the young striker Davide Lanzafame.
Amauri is reportedly set to sign a four-year contract worth 4.1 million euros per season, at Juve, wjo like Fiorentina will have to go through qualifying for the Champions League.
Alberto Gilardino's transfer from AC Milan to Fiorentina was also expected to be wrapped up this week for a sum of 15 million euros. The amount allows the Devils to partly recoup the 24 millions they paid to sign the 25-year-old striker from Parma in 2005.
Milan, meanwhile, are said to be keen on Roma's Brazilian forward Mancini, but may face competition from Serie A champions Inter Milan. (dpa)
