Atzenbrugg (Austria), Sep 18 : Shiv Kapur turned in a bogey-free six-under 66 to make the half-way cut and be placed tied 28th after the second round of the Austrian Open golf.
That stunning six-under made up for the first round 76 and ensured that Kapur would stay on in the Austrian city.
The lone Indian in the field, Kapur slotted in six birdies in a show that helped him recover from a four-over 76 on the opening day. His two-round total stood at two-under 142.
He had his first birdie as early as in the third hole. He followed up with another on the seventh to make the turn two-under. On the back-nine Kapur picked up shots on the 11th, 13th and 15th before closing it off in style with a birdie on the 18th.
At the top of the leaderboard, John Parry (67) led the pack with a total of eight-under 136.(IANS)
