Washington, Jan 18 : Despite moving to Dallas Mavericks, fans thronged to see Lamar Odom at the Staples Center to watch him battle his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers.
Even though Odom couldn't help his team best the Lakers, the NBA superstar was still treated to a standing ovation from fans and former teammates alike.
"It was a little surreal walking into the building and a little surreal to be in here," Us Magazine quoted him as saying.
As celebs like Jack Nicholson looked on, Khloe Kardashian's husband was feted with a special video tribute during a timeout and a scoreboard message that read "THANKS for the memories LAMAR."
"Such a proud wifey!" the 27-year-old Kardashian tweeted after the game.
"Had an amazing night!
"I was so touched by the love and support you all shared for my hubby!
"Thank you for showing such love!" she wrote.
Traded to the Dallas Mavericks in mid-December, Odom and his wife have already made friends in their new locale. (ANI)
