Beijing - China remained on course a sweep of Olympic diving gold medals when Lin Yue and Huo Liang were unstoppable in the men's 10 metres platform synchronized event at the Beijing Games.
The world champions Lin and Huo claimed the gold with 468.18 points, with Patrick Hausding and Sascha Klein on silver with 450.42 points and Russians Gleb Galperin and Dmitriy Dobroskok earning bronze with 445.26 points.
The women's springboard synchro team got the first gold in diving Sunday and the hosts are now two from two in the eight-event sport which China has dominated in the past years.
A sweep of the eight golds is not out of the question, but Klein gave a first indication that he could spoil the party in the individual platform event later in the Games. (dpa)
