London, Oct 12 : Manchester City is reportedly the first Premier League club to have signed a content deal with video-sharing giant YouTube.
The commercial deal will enable City to control its rights-owned or in-house created videos on YouTube, which receives over three billion views per day worldwide, express. co. uk reports.
Reports suggest that under the agreement, the club will be able to control which content is made available, and use that content to generate revenue through supporting advertising.
The club recently hired former AKQA senior executive Julian Pate as its head of marketing, responsible for leading Manchester City’s “digital expansion” strategy, alongside head of digital Richard Ayers. (ANI)
