Naples, Nov 9 - Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has told anti-mafia investigators that during a visit to a gangster stronghold in Italy's Naples city he found himself staring at a table loaded with cocaine being prepared for sale.
Balotelli in June 2010 accompanied a businessman to the Scampia neighbourhood of Naples, notorious for the Camorra or the local mafia, Naples daily Il Mattino reported.
When he encountered the drug trafficking operation, Balotelli asked to return to his hotel, said the report, citing a transcript of the investigation of the 21-year-old footballer from Italy's Palermo city.
Balotelli told the investigators he did not know the people in the room with the cocaine. (IANS)
