London, Oct. 29 : Coach Roberto Mancini has urged Mark Hughes to continue talking about his management style at Manchester City after responding to claims by his Eastlands predecessor that he was too "autocratic" and does not "indulge" his players.
Hughes, replaced as City manager by Mancini in Dec 2009, criticised the Italian in an interview in The Daily Telegraph last Saturday, and suggested that the stand-off between the club and Carlos Tévez `would not have happened on my watch.'
With Hughes' comments being aired just 24 hours before City's 6-1 derby victory at Manchester United, however, Mancini admits he hopes that the Welshman makes more public observations about his former club this season.
The Telegraph quoted Mancini, as saying: "I don't know Mark Hughes and he doesn't know me, but I'm happy when he talks to the newspapers because, before every game that he talks, we win 6-1 or 4-1. Every game."
He added: "If he talks about me before every game I'd be happy. I met him two or three times. It's impossible for me [to say why he said it], but I have respect for his opinion. I respect every opinion. I don't have any problem." (ANI)
