London, Jan 2 : England tennis ace Andy Murray wants his new coach Ivan Lendl, 51, to give him lessons in mental toughness, which would help him in winning Grand Slam titles.
Murray has been knocked out of three Major finals, including the past two Australian Opens.
Murray described Czech-born US citizen Lendl as a perfect mentor.
"He has been through a lot of the same things I have been through, so I am sure he can help me mentally. I spoke to him about the top players and how I am going to beat them and how to see their weakness," The Mirror quoted Lendl, as saying.
A lot of people just don't want to say the wrong thing but he was very honest, very open," he added.
Murray relied on his friend Dani Vallverdu to guide him last year after falling out with his former coach Brad Gilbert.
"Ivan understands what it takes to win and maybe that is what Andy wants now," Murray's former coach Alan Jones said. (ANI)
