New Delhi, Oct 13 : Defending champions Indian Railways has been drawn in Group A along with Maharashtra and Kerala in the second Hockey India Senior Women National Championship to be held in Bhopal from Oct 14 to 23.
As many as 27 Hockey India's member units have confirmed their participation in the championship which will be played on a league-cum-knockout basis at the Aish Bagh Hockey Stadium and Dhyan Chand Hockey Ground.
The inaugural match shall be played between Odisha and Tamil Nadu in Pool C Oct 14.
Hockey India selectors will watch the performance of players to select the probables for future coaching camps for the World League Round Two to be held in New Delhi from Feb 18-24 next year.

Pool A: Indian Railways, Maharashtra, Kerala.
Pool B: Haryana, Manipur, Andhra Pradesh.
Pool C: Odisha, Rajastha, Tamil Nadu Hockey Bhopal.
Pool D: Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Universities.
Pool E: Madhya Pradesh Hockey Association, Chattisgarh, Gujarat.
Pool F: Jharkhand, Bihar, Assam.
Pool G: Karnataka, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Puducherry.
