Old Trafford, Nov 11 : Manchester United star Gary Neville is a Scouser, genealogists have discovered.
The news comes in the wake of Neville openly admitting that he hates Liverpool.
"I can''t stand Liverpool, I can''t stand the people, I can''t stand anything to do with them,” Neville said.
According to genealogists, Neville is descended from at least two Liverpudlians. His great, great, great grandparents were both born in the city, The Sun reports.
The Sky Sports pundit was shocked on hearing the news at a panel show ‘A League Of Their Own’.
After the revelation, Neville refused to hold a Liverpool shirt with his name on the back.
Neville was earlier fined 5,000 pounds for a wild celebration before the Liverpool crowd at Old Trafford after a last-minute goal. (ANI)
